The Journey So Far
Hi, I’m Mehroz, a Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience building secure, API-driven web platforms for clients across the US and UK. I mostly live in the ASP.NET Core and C# world, with deep experience customizing eCommerce platforms like nopCommerce, integrating payment gateways, and connecting third-party APIs where security and compliance genuinely matter — think PCI compliance, licensing systems, and regulatory data sync.
What I enjoy most about this job is the puzzle-solving. Every client comes in with their own tangle of manual processes and disconnected systems, and there’s something genuinely satisfying about mapping that out and rebuilding it into something that just runs — quietly, securely, and at scale. I care about clean architecture and CI/CD pipelines as much as I care about the end result actually working for the people using it every day.
Whether it’s a poker league platform serving 1,000+ players across 15+ venues or a compliance system syncing real-time data across cannabis facilities, I like taking a messy real-world workflow and turning it into something people can depend on. Ten years in, I still get a genuine kick out of shipping something and watching it hold up under real use.

From innovative websites to scalable digital solutions, these projects reflect my passion for turning ideas into impactful experiences.
This is the one I’m proudest of, hands down. I built and still maintain the full platform for South Florida’s free bar poker league — everything from event scheduling and live results to seasonal leaderboards, venue management, and a dedicated dealer dashboard. It now runs real events for 1,000+ active players across 15+ venues, and watching it grow from an idea into something an entire community relies on every week has been genuinely rewarding. The leaderboard and points engine, along with the dealer tools, were the toughest parts to get right — they had to hold up in real time across many venues running simultaneously, with zero room for the numbers to go wrong mid-event.
A geolocation platform I helped build alongside Cannfind, giving licensed dispensaries and cultivators an interactive map to list their facilities and showcase their products to customers. It’s tightly linked with Cannfind under the hood — retail data flows between the two systems, so what’s live in Cannfind’s marketplace shows up seamlessly on Budsmaps. I like that this one sits closer to the customer-facing side of the business, turning the same compliance-grade data into something a shopper can actually browse.
A vehicle transport platform I built from the ground up, handling real-time quoting, booking, and logistics coordination for customers shipping cars across the country. I integrated the CarMD API so customers could enter basic vehicle info and have year, make, and model auto-populate, wired up Google Maps for live pickup and drop-off routing, and connected the platform’s internal APIs for pricing, lead generation, and secure card tokenization. Getting the dynamic pricing logic right — accurate quotes built off live data instead of static tables — was the part I found most satisfying to solve.
