The Journey So Far
Hi, I’m Rocco, Senior Front-End Developer at Zulu Shack Creative.
I love taking a design and turning it into a website. I enjoy figuring things out, solving problems, and making sure everything works the way it should.
Outside of work, family comes first. I love spending time with my beautiful wife, our kids, and the rest of our family. If I’ve got some spare time, I’m usually busy building something or learning a new technology. I enjoy experimenting with everything from WordPress plugins and mobile apps to Unity, VR, APIs, and database-driven systems.

One of the projects I’m currently enjoying the most. I started out designing a few pages alongside the content team, and it’s been really cool watching the site transform into something much bigger.
Probably one of the coolest-looking websites I’ve worked on. The bold 2D artwork and colour palette make the whole site stand out, and it was a lot of fun bringing it all together.
The tap fin idea was such a clever concept, and I loved building around it. The water visuals really tie everything together and give the site a unique feel.
This one’s been a journey. I’ve spent a lot of time redesigning and refining the site over the years, so it’s rewarding to see how much it’s evolved.
I helped design a number of pages and elements, creating a clean, modern look that fits the brand perfectly.

Who doesn’t enjoy designing a website for a music festival? Definitely one of the more fun projects to work on, with lots of energy and personality.

FAQ’s
Quick Questions
Pretty much anything. Websites, custom WordPress solutions and plugins, apps, games… if there’s a problem to solve or an idea to build, I’m usually keen to give it a go.
My beautiful wife, our kids, and spending time with family. After that, it’s usually gaming, working on random side projects, or learning something new (because apparently I don’t know how to switch off).
At the moment I’m diving deeper into AI and VR development. I enjoy picking up new technologies and seeing what I can build with them. There’s always another project or idea waiting.
Coffee. It’s not even a competition.
Unity. I’ve been using it for years and have built everything from 2D and 3D games to game-based learning systems, database-driven applications, and more recently, VR experiences. It’s one of those tools where you’re always learning something new.
People usually know me for websites, but I’ve also built Android and iOS apps, custom APIs, WordPress plugins, payment integrations, Unity games, database-driven systems, and even my own Ubuntu server. I love figuring out how different technologies fit together to build something useful.
