I had to Google “What does SEO stand for?” the night before my first SEO job interview. That was over a decade ago. I started writing content, then learned link building, then technical SEO. I found a way to volunteer for all the work that everyone else was avoiding and what I have learned is that good SEO is tedious and the ranking magic exists in the work that no one else wants to do. Don’t take shortcuts. Always do the hard thing and do it right.
